Peter R. Rich, CPA

Peter has over 25 years of experience providing assurance, accounting and advisory services. For many years, Peter was an audit manager at KPMG concentrating on a diverse client base.

Jonathan A. Bander, CPA

Jonathan is an experienced financial professional with over twenty-five years of comprehensive and working knowledge in all aspects of corporate accounting and taxation.

Experience includes extensive tax structuring, tax planning, tax strategy, multi-company and multi-divisional accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Jonathan has many years experience with financial and operational administration of fund structures, fund of funds, managed accounts, and family office reporting.

He serves a national and international base of clients, maintaining a strong interest in international and domestic tax matters.

Jonathan has dedicated his entire life to public accounting. Through-out his entire college education, he worked full time in a full-service family public accountancy firm. He gained experience servicing a large variety of clients.

After college, he worked in Manhattan for several years at regional CPA firms. During this time, he advised many companies of all sizes and provided ongoing services to private equity/family office clients.

In 2005, he founded Rich and Bander LLP to provide direct, dedicated and personalized service. Rich and Bander is a NYC based CPA firm that serves over a thousand clients employing a dedicated team of 50+ professionals.

Jonathan is a member of the AICPA, NYSSCPA, CGMA, plus several committees and advisory boards.

Annette Henríquez is Accounting Manager with 20 years of experience in finance and accounting. Prior to this role, she led as a Controller in the private sector.

She is dedicated to establishing accounting functions, best practices, cost-reduction, processes, and internal controls. With her experience in accounting, she understands the interplay of internal functions that our clients must manage.

Annette Henríquez is passionate about delivering the best possible client service. She truly enjoys communicating with our clients and collaborating with our audit and tax team. Her team also provides core accounting functions such as financial reporting and transactional processing. She learns something new each day and constantly is thinking of ways to transform businesses in innovative ways to bring new value to our clients.

She is member of AICPA and Colegio de CPA de Puerto Rico. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and minor in Finance.

Mr. Kleiman is an accountant and auditor at Rich & Bander with seven years of experience in public accounting. He joined the firm four years ago as a member of the Audit Team. Mr. Kleiman has recently switched over to R&B’s Accounting Services Team in an effort to broaden his experience and knowledge. He handles a diverse client base with a strong record of accomplishments. Mr. Kleiman is very responsive and demonstrates a great concern for the clients he works with.

Mr. Kleiman helps to lead the Accounting Services Team and supports the team in any way possible. He also serves as liaison to the Audit Team as well. His professional experience includes services to not-for-profit, co-op, home-owner associations, manufacturing, transportation, and professional organizations. Mr. Kleiman is a problem solver who unlike many other accountants always talk to you, not at you.

As an Audit Manager, he provides audit services to a wide range of industries with a particular focus on not-for-profit organizations. He is an expert in not-for-profit accounting rules and compliance with laws/regulations governing not-for-profits. In addition, he ensures that the firm is in compliance with the firm’s quality control policies and latest accounting standards.

Carlos earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from The Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York.

On his down time, Carlos enjoys taking walks with his wife and daughter at parks or trails. He also enjoys watching legal drama tv shows.

Rex is an experienced senior auditor with over 5 years demonstrated history of working in external auditing and accounting. He serves clients in a broad array of industries, most notably in the not-for-profit organizations, real estate, common interest realty associations, and hospitality industries. His expertise includes identifying and addressing complex accounting and auditing issues, advising clients on unique financial reporting and internal control issues surrounding private and publicly-traded entities. His clients rely on him to supervise audits, reviews, and other engagements. Prior to joining RBLLP, Rex worked for 3 years at Ernst & Young as a senior auditor.
Joe joined the Rich and Bander team in spring of 2021 and has six years of assurance experience. Joe has exposure in the technology, retail, pharmaceutical, cannabis, and non-profit industries, among others. Within these spaces, Joe has experience in dealing with complex debt and equity transactions, business combinations and discontinued ops, and in the development and assessment of internal control environments. Joe has worked with clients both small and large, simple and sophisticated, and is familiar with the challenges and goals of each. His engagements have included clients who are publicly traded, and clients who are looking to become listed, and he understands the unique challenges that come along with each. In his free time, Joe enjoys traveling, attending New York Yankee and Knick games, and is an active member of the baseball amateur scouting community.

Samuel Alleyne, CPA is a Senior Audit Manager within the Not-for-Profit Practice at R&B. Samuel specializes in providing professional audit services to not-for-profit and healthcare and institutions.

With over twenty years of experience working in public accounting, Samuel’s expertise lies in financial statement audits, 990s, CFR & ST-3 Supplemental Schedule preparation, reviews and compilations. Samuel has extensive experience in OMB Single Audits as well as compliance with NYS State funded OPWDD, OHM, OASAS, SED and OMH reporting requirements. In addition, Samuel has provided management advisory services to many of his audit and accounting clients whose annual budgets range from $100,000 to $175 million.

Samuel is a frequent lecturer and presents at many full day workshops and roundtables that not-for-profit clients find very informative. He also serves on the board of the East River Child Development Center as the current treasurer.

Samuel is a graduate of Mercy College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting and has had extensive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses in auditing and accounting. Samuel is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).

Tyler graduated from The Bernard M. Baruch College of the City of New York, where she earned her BBA in Accountancy. Tyler is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice public accounting in New York State. Tyler joined Rich and Bander in March 2021 and works as a senior auditor. She brings more than 15 years of experience providing accounting and assurance services across various industries. She has vast knowledge and specializes in not-for-profit sector.
